Why is it that we are always waiting for something to come along? We have become experts at finding excuses.

Do any of these sound familiar?

• When I have time
• When I have more money
• When I feel like it
• When there is no other option
• When the time is right

Admit it, you've used some if not all of these excuses at some point, and convinced yourself to believe it.

Surprisingly, quite often opportunity does fall in our lap, yet we fail to recognise it!

Whenever something new or different presents itself it is an opportunity. Whether it is good, bad or otherwise depends entirely on how we see it and what we chose to do about it.

For most people, when they use the phrase 'waiting for an opportunity to fall in their lap', they are looking for something to happen in their life.

They fail to realise that waiting is not going to make anything happen. Creating is what they need to do.

There are generally 3 categories of people when it comes to looking for opportunity:

1. Those who just wait continuously for the 'opportunity' to arise.
2. Those who have opportunities present themselves yet they either don't recognise them or don't act on them.
3. And those who see it, grab it with both hands and run with it and turn their life around.

Which one are you?

If you are truly looking for a change in your life you need to be creative and make things happen. Change happens for those who want it. And it is not always easy. But it is worth it.

It's always easy to keep doing the same things but if they are not giving you the results you want, why keep doing them?
