How To Start A Network Marketing Business or Grow The One You Have

So, you either want to start a network marketing business or you want to "up your game" on the business you already have. When starting a business, or growing a business, there are several things you need to take into account:
How much do you have to invest in your business?
Despite what your enroller/upline told you, you do need money to start/grow your business. First, there is the starter kit. It is called a starter kit because it is just the start of the money you will need to spend/invest in your business to build it as big as you want. You will need money for additional education and training outside of what your company offers, money for advertising, money for marketing activities and money for a basic office set-up. It is a good idea to draft a budget to really see if you have the money to start/grow a business at all.
Have you done any market research yourself to see if there is a demand for the product you are interested in marketing?
Is there enough demand to justify this as a business? What problems does it solve for people? Are these problems you can relate to?
How much time do you want to devote to your business?
Are you looking at this to replace your JOB or are you looking to supplement your income? Can you realistically spend the 15 or so hours per week on a consistent basis to grow your business?
Is this a market you can see yourself serving and being passionate about?
For example, if you are looking to market weight loss products, can you relate to overweight people? Would they be a good target market for you? It may be a lucrative business but if you do not have a good impression of overweight people then that is probably not a good fit for you.
Are you passionate about starting a business, being in business?
If you approach it half-heartedly, then you will have half-hearted results.
These are just a few issues to think about when you are starting a home business. I suggest you sit down with yourself and write out these questions and answer them honestly. You should also sit down with your spouse and discuss them with him or her. While many successful business owners have done well despite an unsupportive spouse, having support does make the journey easier. In these discussions with yourself and your spouse, you should gain some clarity on whether starting a network marketing business is right for you.
