The 'Best' Marketing Strategies for Small Business - Are You Using Online Marketing Yet?

A Little Bit About My Background First
But you'll have to look at it from my perspective first, so you can truly understand why it is that I'm biased. When I first started myself in business back in 2011 I was taught that the way to grow my organization was to make a list of my friends and family.
No, this was not network marketing as I was in the financial services industry, but the process was entirely the same. I did have some success my first couple of months recruiting five people in my organization, but I struggled for a while because I wasn't the type of person to talk to all of my friends and family.
To make a long story short, my warm market wasn't THAT interested in promoting insurance products, but to my surprise I found out that I could find highly targeted prospects online for my business...
Not only that but I also discovered that I could sell virtually ANY-THING that I want - at will - within moments of research and a quick and swift marketing process.
So, as a small business owner I decided that marketing online was much more lucrative than hitting up random strangers in the street, wouldn't you agree?
So, when you're marketing online for your small business there are a couple of options and avenues you can take to reach your market objectives, and it all depends on your budget, and how much time you have at your disposal.
Are you Going for the 'Free' Route, or the Paid Route?
That's the only real question you have to ask yourself, and what I will do is briefly describe to you what each route offers you.
Paid Process
If you decide to go through the paid route you will discover that you can quickly scale out your business, and easily move up the ranks inside of your business the more you decide to invest in it. I learned most of this from my mentors in the internet marketing game, and the number one thing you must do with paid advertising is track your results.
You will definitely have ads that will bomb and give you NO results whatsoever, and you'll also have ads that will give you a HIGH return in your investment, and it all matters down to how you test and tweak your advertisements throughout the entire process. Do not get discouraged if you're not getting the results that you want... Simply course correct along the way and find out what works and what doesn't.
Free Process
Let's cover the free process real quickly, and let me start this off with the simple fact that this process is NOT free. It requires an investment of time and energy.
It requires time because you must invest in creating content and syndicating (sharing) that content via the internet to get traffic to your offer.
So, in the beginning if you have lots of time but no money then it would be best to high tail until you start making enough dough for you to adequately compensate yourself through paid marketing.
Online Marketing Works - You Just Gotta Work It
When it comes to marketing online for your small business you'll quickly find out that you can generate fast results when you decide to take action on a consistent strategy.
You must make definite plans, and take definite action towards your intended purpose for building the business... Even a weak plan with definite action will trump a strong plan with indefinite action, so be consistent and start noticing more of a lead flow and cash flow inside of your business.
