Why You Need an Online Marketing Plan

Most Internet marketers don't have a marketing plan. I'm convinced of this.
I'm convinced because they've continue to emphasize one part of the business to the exclusion of nearly everything else. And in this article, I want to talk about why you need to redress that balance.
Even though there are several things that have to be in place for an online business to work, the majority of IM-ers that I've come across haven't done everything in their own businesses very well and yet, they still focus more of their time and attention on just one part of their rickety business.
Let me tell what's badly done or what is missing altogether.
1. Products
Many IM-ers have either no products, of the ones they have aren't worth buying.
They're thrown together. They look like they were created in 10 minutes because they were.
And do you know what is the most surprising? It's that IM-ers don't want to buy products on how to create good products.
If you have a product creation product, you have probably discovered already that it doesn't sell very well.
2. Email campaign
I've been on a lot of lists, and I still join them, though my interests have changed.
When you've been an IM-er for awhile, you get to where you can spot good emails and bad ones.
Most of the ones I get aren't even worth reading all the way through.
They sound like they were written a decade ago.
It's obvious that someone has copied the style of them from someone else. And rarely is there any sort of connection between them.
3. They don't have a marketing plan.
How do I know, because they're only interested in one part of it; and that part is driving traffic.
All they think they need is a list.
And the truth of the matter is that a list isn't going to buy anything from you if you either sell products they don't want or don't have products to sell.
If you do have anything worth buying, they still won't buy if the emails you send don't demonstrate that you're the only person on the planet that can help them.
And even if they're persuaded of that, they still won't buy if your emails to them aren't crafted properly or put in the right order.
Despite all of this, most IM-ers do not have a plan for how to market to their prospects.
All they have is sporadic approach that is intended to drive traffic to their site.
By itself, your business will never work.
You need to have a well-structured and balanced approach to marketing your online business.
Take some time over the next few days to think about what that would look like, and then start to put something together.
