The signature file is between three to six lines of text that identify you, your business, or your main offer. It will usually have a link back to your chosen site. This is how other interested prospects will find your site, and the main basis of how successful article marketing works.
You're probably thinking, "Well, article marketing sounds great? But, it will take me a lot of time to write those quality articles." Yes, that's true. This is why I said earlier, "relatively free." Articles will cost you in time if you choose to write them yourself. You could, if you choose, decide to outsource this to writers if you do not feel your writing skills are up to the task (though it's not that hard - we're not talking Shakespearean masterpieces or Pulitzer Prize winners here). Or, if you want to focus your efforts on other areas of your business and leave the writing to someone else who you feel is more capable, you can pay out a small amount of cash for each article.
However, it's important to note that prices can vary for quality articles, and not all article writers are good writers. Some have English as their first language, while others don't. Some are more proficient at writing, while others are not as proficient. You have to find that writer or writers who will provide the high quality you want at a reasonable price. Some sites to try include eLance.com, oDesk.com, iWriter.com, ArticleTeller.com, and others. The prices can range anywhere from $2.00 to $25.00+ per 500-word article.
To help you narrow down what writer to hire, conduct a test of their skills first before hiring them, such as writing a sample article first. See how they do, then determine whether you want to hire that specific writer or not. Keep in mind that the lowest price isn't always your best option, especially if you have to edit the article afterwards. By the same token, though, that doesn't mean you have to pay the highest price either; only some due diligence will help you to find the best writer for your needs at the best price possible.
As you can see, article marketing can be very effective in promoting your site and your business, and you don't necessarily have to write the articles yourself if you choose not to. Certainly, you do want to incorporate article marketing into your online marketing efforts, as it is a free way to gain targeted traffic to your website, and quality content is a great way to boost your reputation and credibility in your field. So, you tell them you'd like to gift the site to someone for free.
In return, all you want in a nominal amount for monthly SEO, or content marketing, or blog posting, or whatever it is that you can do quickly and easily that will pay you a nice guaranteed monthly income, and that adds empirical value to your client as well.

Most Internet marketers don't have a marketing plan. I'm convinced of this.
I'm convinced because they've continue to emphasize one part of the business to the exclusion of nearly everything else. And in this article, I want to talk about why you need to redress that balance.
Even though there are several things that have to be in place for an online business to work, the majority of IM-ers that I've come across haven't done everything in their own businesses very well and yet, they still focus more of their time and attention on just one part of their rickety business.
Let me tell what's badly done or what is missing altogether.
1. Products
Many IM-ers have either no products, of the ones they have aren't worth buying.
They're thrown together. They look like they were created in 10 minutes because they were.
And do you know what is the most surprising? It's that IM-ers don't want to buy products on how to create good products.
If you have a product creation product, you have probably discovered already that it doesn't sell very well.
2. Email campaign
I've been on a lot of lists, and I still join them, though my interests have changed.
When you've been an IM-er for awhile, you get to where you can spot good emails and bad ones.
Most of the ones I get aren't even worth reading all the way through.
They sound like they were written a decade ago.
It's obvious that someone has copied the style of them from someone else. And rarely is there any sort of connection between them.
3. They don't have a marketing plan.
How do I know, because they're only interested in one part of it; and that part is driving traffic.
All they think they need is a list.
And the truth of the matter is that a list isn't going to buy anything from you if you either sell products they don't want or don't have products to sell.
If you do have anything worth buying, they still won't buy if the emails you send don't demonstrate that you're the only person on the planet that can help them.
And even if they're persuaded of that, they still won't buy if your emails to them aren't crafted properly or put in the right order.
Despite all of this, most IM-ers do not have a plan for how to market to their prospects.
All they have is sporadic approach that is intended to drive traffic to their site.
By itself, your business will never work.
You need to have a well-structured and balanced approach to marketing your online business.
Take some time over the next few days to think about what that would look like, and then start to put something together.

The Skills You Need To Build More Relationships and Attract More Clients

Building relationships with individuals is something we do all the time. We may all do it a little differently, but it comes fairly naturally. When you are talking with someone face-to-face, or having a phone conversation, the process is familiar. There is a dialogue between people. You can ask questions, respond to their reactions, and communicate through a back-and-forth conversation.
Most of us don't need help or strategies to build relationships with one person at a time. However, to build a business faster, you have to build relationships with many more people. And at a certain point, it becomes impossible to have individual conversations with every single one of them. There just isn't enough time in the day!
But, building relationships with large numbers of people who may be interested in your business isn't like having a conversation. There are different strategies that you must use to communicate with groups of people, and cause them to feel connected to you, to trust you, and to engage with you and your business.
When I started listing out all the strategies for large group communication, I realized that they really fall into two broad categories: writing and speaking. These skills are critical for any entrepreneur or business owner who wants to expand their pool of prospects and get more customers and clients.
Let's take a look at these two skills and how you can use them.
Writing for groups
Writing for groups can take many forms. You could be writing a blog article, an e-mail newsletter, a letter that goes out in the mail in large numbers, an article for publication, etc. The point is that you are writing, not to one individual, but to a broader audience.
In this area, it is important to know, at least in general, who you are writing to. Who is your target audience? What kind of reader will be interested in what you have to say? It is impossible to write to "everyone" and be successful at building relationships.
When you know your reader, you can write in a similar way that you would talk to an individual. You can anticipate their questions and reactions, and address them in your writing. Then they feel as though you know them, and they are drawn in and begin to feel connected to you as well.
Of course, the quality of writing is also important. Writing for groups means composing something like you learned in school. It needs to have a beginning, middle and end. It has to have a point and not bore the reader.
Writing is a skill that improves with practice. My own writing abilities changed dramatically when my family spent a year in Switzerland. I started a blog to let our friends and family know what we were experiencing. And in the process of writing 1-3 times per week, I honed the skills that it takes to write consistently.
My recommendation is that you set aside at least 1 hour per week to write something. I don't mean e-mails to individuals, which you do all day! I mean a piece of content (around 500 words) that can be posted, or sent or shared with a group of people. (You don't have to share it right away. But you must write in order to improve your skills.)
Speaking to groups
The other way to communicate with large groups of people is through speaking. Speaking could mean giving a talk or presentation to a room full of people, speaking at a large event, or speaking to a video camera or audio recorder that can be posted online or broadcast to large numbers of people.
Just as with writing, speaking to a group is different than talking to an individual. But, by using the same strategy as above, you can connect to your audience by knowing something about them, and sharing something about yourself.
Aside from the content, public speaking has it's own set of skills. How to hold your body, how to speak clearly, even how to just be comfortable standing in front of a group or a camera. And, just like with writing, these skills only improve with practice.
Use of technology
I want to mention a third skill that is necessary to build relationships with large groups. It is the ability to use technology to post, publish, and send your content out to the right groups of people. By itself, the technology doesn't do you any good. But, once you have written something or recorded yourself speaking, the technology is critical in getting it seen or heard.
This is really the crux of content marketing. Putting out content is how you build relationships, and it requires the skills of writing and speaking. So, start honing your skills today.

It is followed with 81% of the maintenance services, 75% of the Internet, and 66% of business services. Overall, the data reports that of the entire franchising industry in the United States, 51% is home-based. This is also based on the data available in the year 2007. If the 51% is derived from the data of the International Franchise Association, the result points to 422,350 franchises.
Assuming there is at least a 3% growth in the next years, the numbers reported by the International Franchise Association from 2007 may have grown into roughly 970,000 for the year 2013. Using the same projection on the report of Entrepreneur 500, the percentage of home-based franchises may have increased to 60%. That is already more than half of the entire franchising industry.
If the projections will remain positive, these numbers will grow to include more franchises in the coming years. Truly, one cannot say that franchising is only for a few. Unlike before, when only the less privileged group of aspiring business owners are likely to avail of franchises, franchising at present is a really popular choice. Even the best entrepreneurs and the most accomplished business people can and are likely to avail of franchises.
Due to the continuing popularity of online businesses, determining how widespread franchising is now can be quite difficult. There can be thousands of franchises in a particular field in one country only. If the United States can record hundreds of thousands in a particular year, definitely the number of a worldwide count will yield a higher value. But even without a solid and firm data, there can be no doubt that the online franchising industry is really on its way to dominance.
Ultimately, franchising is seen to grow so much wider in the next few years. More developments are also foreseen. As long as more people will learn of the benefits of buying franchises, the numbers of the ventures will be far bigger. Does article marketing still work? What is the difference between CONTENT marketing and writing articles? Is blogging just another way of describing article marketing, or are they completely different marketing strategies altogether?

2 - In 2013, there ARE very subtle shifts in the nuances of creating good content for directories that you MUST follow, otherwise you'll find yourself frustrated, and spinning your wheels needlessly.
3 - Done properly, today more than ever before, article marketing is a holistic, end to end strategy that has it's eyes on touching all of the "bases", and can't be looked at as a simple cheap trick for generating traffic to your site, service or offer.
In other words, you NOW need to think about your landing page, your content's quality, length and the community that will congregate (or not) around your articles, otherwise you're going to find it becomes a dead end in a hurry.
Here is STILL the very best way to earn $100 a day writing articles.
Pick a high volume niche. Always, always, always start here. No micro niches or mini sites.
Pick a high paying affiliate offer with an EPC of every $100. This refers to the average earnings, the average affiliate will generate for every 100 visitors referred to the vendor.
Register an inexpensive domain name that you will use to refer your article visitors to visit, when they want to learn more about the content you are covering.

If you have had online coaching for any length of time, then you're probably among those for whom it hasn't worked.
You've probably spent thousands of dollars, pounds, or euros, and despite your best efforts, you still haven't been able to get the results that you thought you would.
In this article, I want to explain one reason why that's the case.
The first thing I need to tell you is that you are not alone.
The vast majority of people who aspire to create an online business find that for one reason or another that can't do it.
They've bought product after product, they've read eBooks, they've listened to audios and watched videos, and none of it has produced the results that they had envisioned at the beginning.
Many of them wished that they would have never started in the first place.
If that describes you, then I hope that I can start to unpack the reasons why this has been a problem for you.
The second thing is that there is a solution, but it's not one that you're going to be able to implement all at once.
Part of the reason for that is your own limitations; but part of it, too, is that a complete solution hasn't been found... yet.
It's something that I'm working on, and we're close to figuring it out.
So let me take you through something that I think causes problems from the very beginning and then follows you all the way through the program; all the way to where you are today.
It's visualization.
You just can't see where you're going.
Your coach tells you to just take the next step; but you don't know what that step looks like for you.
Your coach describes to you what it looked like for him or her, but that doesn't tell you what it will look like for you.
This is a key piece.
Athletes will visualize a race before the run it, and they'll see themselves running through the tape ahead of everyone else.
They'll see their legs and arms pumping. They'll feel their legs go over the hurdles.
They'll fee the aerobic power as they accelerate down the traffic.
That's visualization.
Seeing yourself do the very thing that you have set out to do.
And athletes also see the success.
But when you're a beginning Internet marketer, you can't see the steps that will take you from where you are to where you want to go.
You can't translate what your coach is telling you into tangible activities that you feel you can do.
You can't understand, for example, how to use your blog to drive traffic or to help you build your list.
You can't do it because you don't know what it looks like.
The next time you speak to your coach, if you have one, be sure to ask him or her what the next step might look like for you.

What is a Bounce Rate?
Do you know your bounce rate? A bounce occurs if a visitor lands on a page and then leaves without visiting any other page on your site. If the number of visitors who leave your site without clicking through to another page is too high, Google will conclude that something is wrong - and they could be right. The average for most sites is between 40% and 60%. Oh course, the longer a visitor sticks around, the more likely they are to convert to a paying customer!
My website had a bounce rate of over 60%. With some statistic tracking, tenacious tweaking and diligence, it is now below 5%!
It's not difficult to do! First analyze why your site is not enticing visitors to stick around. Some possibilities may include:
· Your site design is off-putting. Maybe it's difficult to read, or appears spammy, or maybe it greets visitors with annoying music on auto-play. All of these things present a bad user experience that can manifest itself in a high bounce rate.
· Your keywords don't match your message. If you search for "life coach for women" and Google gives you a link to a site that sells knitting supplies, you'll probably immediately hit the back button. That's a clear indication that something is wrong with the search results.
· Your ad promised something you didn't deliver. Have you ever clicked on a Facebook ad because the photo was enticing, only to find that the item which interested you is not available? Chances are you hit the back key. While ads are a separate issue for Google, this type of misleading advertisement can increase your bounce rate and lower your search engine ranking.
Of course, some pages will naturally have a high bounce rate, and there's nothing you can do about that except try to keep it in perspective. Squeeze pages, for example, will have a high bounce rate because they are a stand-alone page. There is no menu bar where visitors can surf to another page on your site, no links to read other articles, no "visitors who liked this also views that." There is nowhere else for a reader to go. Your visitor will either opt-in or "bounce."
Tips for Reducing Your Bounce Rate
Here are some easy-to-implement techniques to reduce your bounce rate:
· Adding a list of related products or articles at the bottom of each page. "Visitors who viewed this item also viewed... " is a good way to get readers to click through to other pages - especially if compelling titles and images are used.
· Link to other pages within your content. Not only do links to other pages give your reader someplace else to go, but it's good for SEO as well - remember to use your keywords!
· Use excerpts. If a reader lands on your home page and can read the entire last article from your blog, there's no good reason to click further. Instead, craft a compelling excerpt that entices your visitors to want to read more.
· Make your site easy to navigate. If your menu is hidden at the bottom of the page in a tiny font, you're going to lose a lot of readers. Make it clear to them how to get from one page to another.
· Make sure your site is mobile friendly. A site with tiny print and impossible-to-click links will turn off viewers who arrive via mobile devices with tiny screens.
· Clarify your message. You have about 3 seconds to get your point across to a new visitor. If he or she can't figure out what your site is about in that time, they'll hit the back button and move on.
· Include an about page. The internet has become more personal and people want to know with whom they are dealing. When you tell them more about your business and you, it makes the experience more personal. And don't forget to include a picture (or better yet, a video - they want to see YOU as well!
· Make it easy to share! Sharing buttons help your readers to share and recommend your services to their friends, so it's vital to install them. So be sure it's easy for your readers to share.
· Capitalize on the popularity of Facebook. Facebook is the #1 social network with over 1 billion active users. Your website can easily utilize this network with a Facebook widget. Since people love Facebook this is an easy way of providing a good user experience.
· Keep your blog up to date. As I am fond of saying, posting your blog regularly is essential for your SEO. Keep it current. When your target audience is searching for information, if they find only outdated posts most likely they won't even bother to click through.
· Turn off auto play! How many of you have landed on a site to be startled by an audio or video! This makes many people click off before they even read the first word. Give them the choice to listen to your video or audio when they are ready.
· Don't use huge blocks of text. With the plethora of information on the web today and the lightning fast pace of most people's lives, people want to scan and get information quickly. Give them what they want - quickly and easily.

o Graphics

Before I started my internet marketing business I was involved in several other business opportunities many years ago and there were reasons why I didn't see them through to the end. Now these opportunities were genuine and had excellent potential to make me a huge profit!
So what happened and why didn't they work for me? Well I'll tell you what they were all about and why I failed at them.
Back in 1999 I was introduced to a fantastic opportunity to sell website packages to businesses. These were sites that the owners could update themselves and back then this was a relatively new thing.
I would earn £350 for the lowest priced package and could earn up to £850 on the highest priced package. This was an opportunity not to be missed. However, there were other fees that I had to pay.
I had to pay £100 per month for this opportunity but still could be highly profitable as just one sale per month would easily cover this.
What I didn't really think about was how to market this product. The best way would've been to approach businesses, but I was in a full time job and found that this would be very difficult to do.
I have never been involved in sales before either so the thought of walking into a business and trying to sell them something was extremely daunting!
So being naïve I thought that I could just place ads in a magazine and sales would poor in. After placing my ad in a magazine which cost me a small fortune I waited for a response. I waited and waited and guess what... nothing.
My money may as well have been flushed down the toilet! I then took out another ad in a business start up magazine. This gave me some response and a sale. The sale covered the cost of the ad but no profit.
So in the end I didn't want to risk anymore money, I just didn't have the time to visit companies or the confidence to walk into their premises to sell them something and so I decided to give it up.
But then another opportunity rolled up. One which could make me lots of money again and instantly I could see the massive potential.
This was getting businesses to use email marketing promotions which I handled for them. I would give them a box with forms attached which would sit on their counter. Their customers would fill in the form with their name and email and place it in the box if they wanted to receive promotional offers from the company via email.
I would collect the forms and send the emails to their customers with their promotional offer. I got everything I needed to run the business but then it came to selling it again. I realised that I was in the same boat as before... I would need to go out selling!
I just couldn't imagine myself going out and selling and I was not going to spend lots of money on advertising again! So I gave up again without even trying to promote it.
Some time later another business opportunity came my way. This time it was an offline marketing business. How this worked was I would put up boards in pubs, community centres, gyms, libraries etc where many local people go.
These boards were not just plain boards, they had a centre part where local people could put personal ads in it and the businesses would have professional looking ads around the edge.
It was a great idea and this time I was going to go out and sell it. I decided to face my fear and approach companies!
I managed to get my local pub to sign up for a board which was free to them. He gave me a couple of businesses to visit to see if they would like a space on my board. I was feeling great at this point I could actually make some progress.
So, feeling good that things were looking up and I had some referrals from the landlord I decided I'm going to go for it and approach these businesses.
I sat at home rehearsing my sales pitch. After a lot of thinking and anxiety building up I could've easily just stayed home and shut myself in... but... this was it... I gave myself I kick up the rear end and went for it!
I got in my car and rolled up to the first business on my list. It was a bed and breakfast. I sat in my car for a bit thinking about what I was going to say and anxiety started building up again... I could've easily have just turned round and gone home!

In this article, I want to show you how to create a niche that is unique in a competitive market. It doesn't matter how many other people are in that niche. If you can figure this one out, you'll have most of the market share.
If you plan to start a business, then you have to decide who your prospects will be. But you can't expect to sell to everyone, even if everyone needs what you have. That's because those prospects will assume that they have have different needs than other people who use a similar product.
So that means that you have to help them to know if what you have is right for them. That's all a niche is.
There are a couple of different categories of niches: Stagnant niches and saturated niches.
Stagnant niches consist of products and services that don't seem to change much.
Offline, this is true of utility companies. They all supply electricity, gas, and water. That's all they'll every do, and probably the only variation you'll ever see will be in the pricing structure.
Online, a good example would be the diet industry. Think back five years and ask yourself how many of the diet plans then are still popular today.
Saturated niches consist of products and services that everyone is selling. In Relationship niche, there are no end of dating sites, advice about marriage, divorce, separation, getting your girlfriend or boyfriend back, how to raise your teenagers, and so on.
In the Money-making niche, there are still people who are trying to sell you on the idea that you can make a lot quickly, easily, or both. Some sites promote gambling, others the financial markets (which you might assume amounted to the same thing), information products, affiliate programs - the list goes on.
Of the two, would you choose to have an online business in the stagnant category or the saturated one.
Most people would pick the first one. But if they did, they'd be looking in the wrong place.
That's because you want your niche to be where people are already spending money.
But, you don't want to compete with them head-on. It takes a lot of marketing clout to do that successfully.
Just think about Google, for example. Where would you start if you wanted to build a search engine to compete with it? That's the question I put to the senior engineer for Bing when I found myself sitting next to him a plane flying from Europe to the US.
His reply was, "That's a very good question." I knew that.
The way to create a niche that is unique to you in a competitive market is turn the industry upside down.
To do that, you need to know what most people do.
You see the typical approach is to make yourself different from everyone else. And so the tendency is to study the competition to see what they're doing, and then look for a way to do something a little bit different.
But what if you look at what they all did, and then figured out a way to make the whole business model better?
If you did that - if you were able to find a way to get better results for the customer than your competitors, you could transform the industry.
That would make you the expert to the exclusion of everyone else.
