Building A Downline: Discover Why Content Marketing Beats Paid Marketing

The world of MLM and marketing in general is constantly evolving and changing. What may work one month or week may be completely irrelevant the next. This is why as a professional marketer it's important to always stay on top of your game as far as the ways in which you approach marketing. Two popular forms of marketing, content marketing and paid marketing are constantly changing. Content marketing is now becoming the leading force and the preferred method of engaging your customers and selling your products or services. Below are five ways in which content marketing is better than paid marketing.
#1 - Targeted Traffic
When using content marketing you have a much higher chance of receiving incoming traffic that is targeted and ready to make a purchase. This is because content marketing relies on using SEO, and especially proper keyword research to filter out your audience and narrow your audience down to the ones who are most likely to make a purchase.
#2 - Costs Less
Obviously you are going to pay less money to have content created than spending money on PPC advertising. While the cost to have a well-researched and professionally written 500 word article can be had for $8-10, you can easily spend hundreds of even thousands of dollars on PPC advertising that may or may not work. With content marketing you have a much higher chance of it working because it relies upon the backbone principles of SEO, which always ring true.
#3 - Connect with Readers
Content can be written about virtually anything, while a PPC ad is primarily only designed to promote something. With content you can inform and help your readers without attempting to sell an item or service. This builds trust with your readers and makes for a more open relationship with your viewers on your website. As an example - you can write an article about finding the best kind of office chair, which actually helps your reader. If you used paid advertising you'd only be able to advertise the office chairs directly, which can hurt potential conversation rates.
#4 - More Trustworthy
People on the internet are becoming more aware of what an advertisement is and what isn't. Many online viewers are becoming desensitized towards advertisements, especially ones that are incredibly obvious such as banner ads. Using content marketing instead of paid advertising will allow you to build more trust with potential customers and clients because with content you can actively help your clients or customers solve a problem, which leads to more trust and more sales.
#5 - Higher Conversions
The name of the game in internet marketing is conversions, and using content marketing has consistently been proven to bring in higher conversation rates when compared to paid advertising. There are many reasons for this, although the primary reason is because you can easily connect with your readers if the content is good, versus a PPC ad where you have no connection at all. This increases conversation rates which leads to more sales and profits.
